Fascinated by how everything worked around him, Mats Van Delen’s ambition to become a scientist already developed early on in life. During his studies, he became interested in the complexity of our immune system, and how it works tirelessly to protect us from harm. In his PhD, he aims find out why our immune system can derail, and how we can help to get back on track. His research focusses on re-educating the immune system in Multiple Sclerosis.
