Did you know that preschoolers have a surprisingly good understanding of exponential growth? Researcher Hilde Rabaut (HOGENT) investigated how picture books and board games can be used to stimulate mathematical thinking in preschool. And that is necessary, because the math results of Flemish schoolchildren have been declining alarmingly for years.
